Feeding a Family of 4
Our volunteers pack hundreds of grocery carts per week
At the JFC Food Cupboard, we prioritize dignity and respect by giving families full control over their food selections. This approach not only ensures that everyone receives what they need but also significantly reduces food waste. By empowering families to choose their groceries, we create a more personalized and respectful experience.
What Does a Weekly Food Distribution Look Like?
Our average distribution provides approximately 45 lbs of food each week to households of varying sizes, from individuals to families of 13. Below is an example of a weekly food selection for a household of four, designed to offer nutritious options and variety. The average value of this food package has been carefully assessed by comparing prices at three local grocery stores.
Each year, we fulfill over 15,000 food orders just like this one, helping to support families in our community with essential groceries and fresh produce.
