Without our fundraisers and food drives the JFC would have no way to support hundreds of families we serve each week! Fundriasers and drives offer not only an opportunity for us to grow our resources, but also a space for the community to come together for some fun in support of a shared mission! Learn about our fundraisers and drives from this past year below

In order to help grow the Cupboard’s budget to afford the quality meat, produce, dairy, and eggs we provide to families each week, JFC staff and volunteers work throughout the community to raise awareness and funds for our families. These fundraisers include many community partnerships and events such as our efforts at the Keswick Theatre, at the Baederwoods Fall Fest, The Jenkintown Arts Fest, ABW Viking Breakfast, the Jenintown Rotary Club and our own Community Celebrations with Human Robot!

Making sure our community knows about our ongoings is an enormous part of spreading that awareness. Each month our food drive team creates a new poster of the most needed and wanted items for our cupboard. For our events posters are created and disseminated through our township, our network of local partners and on our social media! (Check out some posters from this year above)

Food drives are the life blood of any food pantry. Our community has come together in so many ways to support the families we serve, always with a unique and creative twist. Some of our favorites were the annual “Souper Bowl” by Jenkintown MS/HS, the “fill the school bus” food drive by Abington Senior, or the “slime your teacher” by Springfield Elementary. This year we had two different drives bring in over an entire ton (2,000 lbs) of food - ABW and Rydal Elementary East, and we are supported on a continuing basis by many local organizations such as Beth Am, Bella’s, Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, Beaver Hill, Breyer Wood Estates, Rydal Park, St. Paul’s Episcopal, Willow Grove YMCA, Wyncote House, and many more!
